Well, how about Liam Neeson? He did play the popular Batman Rogue in 2005's Batman Begins, and even had a small cameo in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises. Yet, what are the odds an actor like Neeson would be willing to take the big screen version of the character and move him to television? Better then you'd actually think!
During a press junket for A Walk Among The Tombstones, Neeson revealed he has not been approached by The CW or Warner Bros. to play the character in the upcoming season of Arrow. This isn't surprising, considering the powers that be have been keeping the DC Comics Cinematic Universe separate from that seen on television.
But, would Neeson play the role once again? “I would, in a heartbeat, if it came my way, yeah,” Neeson admitted during the interview. “Very much so.”
Now that is very exciting to hear. However, the chances of Arrow creating a direct connection with Nolan’s movies is very slim. So, chances are good someone new will take up the role. However, Neeson does have some advice for the next person to play the character - “They have to believe in their philosophy,” Neeson said. “Ra’s al Ghul absolutely believed what he was doing was ultimately saving civilization, and it was quite a good argument he comes up with. Throughout the ages this fraternity, that brought the plague to wipe out a section of mankind because it needed to be regenerated again. Very dangerous, but you have to believe it.”
Whoever does end up playing Ra's al Ghul, be it Neeson or another actor, better be ready. It won't be an easy task to take down the team Oliver has put together on Arrow.
What do you guys think? Should Neeson take up the role once again, or would you like to see someone else get a turn at playing 'The Demon's Head'?
