Aliens Anniversary Reunion Headed For SDCC

The 30th Anniversary of James Cameron's Aliens arrives on July 18th. Released back in 1986, the ground-breaking Sci-Fi horror film acts as a sequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 classic Alien. In celebration of this milestone, the cast and crew will be coming together to commemorate the occasion with a special 30th anniversary reunion at San Diego Comic Con.

The special event will be held on Saturday, July 23rd in Hall H and will feature a Q&A session with director James Cameron alongside stars Sigourney Weaver, Michael Biehn, Carrie Henn, Bill Paxton, Paul Riser, Lance Henriksen and Gale Anne Hurd.

Both Cameron and Weaver have expressed excitement over the event, with the director telling Entertainment Weekly that the reunion “should be fun” as “the usual suspects” would all be getting back together.

If that's not exciting enough, 20th Century Fox is evening releasing a special Blu-ray/Digital HD box-set for Aliens this Fall. Set for release on September 13th, the film will include plenty of bonus features and come complete with concept cards and a booklet containing artwork from the Aliens comic by Dark Horse.

The Aliens 30th Anniversary Reunion is being held on Saturday July 23rd.

San Diego Comic Con runs from July 21st - 24th.
