Production on Jurassic World 2 will kick off in Hawaii on February 27th.
Our friends over at Jurassic Outpost and Reel Tours Hawaii reported this news earlier today - news that apparently confirms that the sequel, currently using the working title Ancient Futures, will return to the islands in one form or another.
Primary production on the film will take place in London, England.
J.A. Bayona will direct the film from a script penned by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. Trevorrow will also serve as an executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg. Stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will also be back to wrangle with the dinosaurs as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing respectively.
Jurassic World 2 stomps into theatres on June 22, 2018.
