New Killing Joke Clip Is No Laughing Matter

There is no doubt that The Killing Joke is one of the most iconic graphic novels ever to hit print. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the R rated animated adoption of the story, which will be staying very close to the source material as evidenced by the first clip from the animated feature.

Starting at the 3:56 point of the latest episode of DC All Access, the chilling clip finds Batman meeting with the Joker in a darkened cell at Arkham Asylum in an effort to get some answers.

Check out the clip posted below...

The Killing Joke was originally released back in 1988 and is considered the definitive take on Joker's transformation from a failed comedian and family man to the Clown Prince Of Crime and Batman's greatest nemesis. Additionally, it stands as proof that anyone can be transformed into a monster - given the right set of circumstances.

Batman: The Killing Joke features a talented voice cast that includes long-time DCAU veterans Kevin Conroy as Batman, Mark Hamill as The Joker and Tara Strong as Batgirl. Ray Wise also returns to the world of DC animation as Commissioner Jim Gordon.

Look for Batman: The Killing Joke to arrive on Digital HD on July 23rd and on Blu-Ray and DVD August 2nd. The movie, the first R rated DC animated movie, will also screen in select theatres across Canada and the United States on Monday, July 25th.
