Pokémon GO is a hit! However, the game is so popular that the servers have been overloaded to an extreme degree and the International launch of the title has been halted until these issues can be sorted out.
Which means eager players waiting in the likes of Canada, South America and The United Kingdom are going to have to wait a little longer before being able to download Pokémon GO for themselves.
How much longer? Well, according to Niantic CEO John Hanke, the rollout is “paused until we’re comfortable.”
He adds: “We thought the game would be popular, but it obviously struck a nerve,”
On the bright side, Hanke says that he’s feeling positive about server stability going forward.
We're getting reports from Australia and The United States that the game had a good run Thursday and throughout most of the weekend, so here's hoping things will be sorted out with server stability sooner rather than later.
More news as it becomes available.
Stay tuned, Pokémon trainers.
