Mace Windu is alive...at least according to Samuel L. Jackson.
From 1999 until 2005, Jackson portrayed one of the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy, however after Anakin Skywalker sliced off his hand and Darth Sidious used Force lightning to send Mace Windu plummeting from a very tall building, it seemed as though the popular Jedi had become one with the force. Then again, we never saw a body.
During a recent Twitter Q&A, a fan asked the actor who made the choice to kill Mace Windu in Revenge Of The Sith, to which Jackson responded: “Oh, that was George Lucas. Also I am not dead because I say I am not dead because I am Samuel L. Jackson and I am literally too cool to kill.”
The actor would then share his theory on the Entertainment Weekly radio show: “Jedi can fall from amazing distances. And there’s a long history of one-handed Jedi. So why not?”
He makes a good point.
He would go on reveal that he shared this theory with George Lucas, who responded with: “I’m okay with that. You can be alive.”
So, does this mean Master Windu may show up again? Only time will tell!
