When Comic Book Men host Kevin Smith took the reigns on a Season 2 episode of The Flash, entitled The Runaway Dinosaur, it became a hit with fans and critics alike.
As such, it comes as no surprise that Smith will soon be back in the DC TV director's chair, helming the seventh episode of The Flash this season. Smith is currently getting ready to film that episode in Vancouver and has also been able to see the first two episodes of Season 3 - and has nothing but good things to say about them.
“I saw episode 1 and 2 already, because they are up to shooting episode 6 right now, so I’ve seen episodes 1 and 2 cut together. Phenomenal! The bar is high, so I’m kind of worried about that.”
No doubt, Smith feels as though he's got his work cut out for him this season - especially after watching those two episodes mentioned above. However, after watching The Runaway Dinosaur, we have nothing but confidence in Mr. Smith and what he'll bring to the show in Season 3.
Smith, who is currently coordinating with the show's production crew, will begin shooting his episode this Wednesday. He will also be directing an episode of Supergirl this season, entitled Supergirl Lives, which calls to mind his work on the defunct Tim Burton film Superman Lives.
Starring Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Keiynan Lonsdale, Violett Beane, Grey Damon and Jesse L. Martin, The Flash speeds back to the small screen on Tuesday, October 4th at 8pm.
