Another day, another record for David Ayer's Suicide Squad.
Despite a critical backlash, the DC action flick has continued to defy at every turn. The movie currently sits at $678-Million worldwide following a decent long weekend haul that pushed Suicide Squad to $300-Million domestically and $375-Million internationally.
These exceptional numbers, which should keep Warner Bros. smiling all the way to the bank, have landed the film on the Top 100 Highest-Grossing Movies of All Time list.
That's right, Suicide Squad is one of the highest grossing movies of all time.
Currently sitting at the #91 spot, the movie has eclipsed the $668-Million earned by Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel and even knocked Thor: The Dark World out of the ranking despite its descent $644-Million take.
Not bad for a movie with a 26% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
Starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach, Scott Eastwood and Ben Affleck, Suicide Squad is in theatres now.
