Billy Dee Williams Is Two-Face In LEGO Batman Movie

It has been almost 30 years since Star Wars actor Billy Dee Williams starred as Gotham City District Attorney Harvey Dent in Tim Burton's Batman and the 1992 follow-up Batman Returns.

Now, Chris McKay has taken to Twitter to reveal that the iconic actor will reprise the role once again in his highly anticipated animated feature The LEGO Batman Movie, which arrives in theatres this coming February.

When asked by a fan if Billy Dee Williams would be voicing Two-Face in the film, McKay tweeted:

Currently, it is unknown how big a role the character will have in the film, but this is still some seriously great news, and an awesome move on the part of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment.

Despite playing Dent in two Batman movies, Williams was replaced by Tommy Lee Jones before he got the chance to play the character's villainous alter ego. It's surely going to be lots of fun to finally hear Williams in the role after all these years!

Featuring the voice talents of Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson and Zach Galifianakis, The LEGO Batman Movie arrives in theatres on February 10th.

A Familiar Friend Looms In New Alien: Covenant Image

Today marks the 79th birthday of Alien director Ridley Scott. In honor of the milestone, 20th Century Fox has released a brand new set photo from Alien: Covenant, which features the director flanking a rather familiar character from his iconic 1979 film.

The Space Jockey.

The creature was originally seen as nothing more than a fossil in Scott's Alien, an ill-fated creature who had been killed by the beastly Xenomorph. Speculation surrounding the Space Jockey would grow with each passing year, and Scott further developed that mythology in 2012's Prometheus, which suggested its race of aliens to which the Jockey belongs created humanity.

Starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride and Carmen Ejogo, Alien: Covenant is set to open in theaters on May 19th.

Warner Bros. CEO Promises More DC Comics Content

During a Q&A session at an investor conference yesterday, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara announced that the studio is preparing to double-down on its major franchises - including DC Comics, Harry Potter, and the LEGO movies.

"What is becoming more and more important is really these big franchises," Tsujihara said. "If you look at what’s happening with the quality of the television product, the movies that are breaking through are the big franchises"

The CEO also went on to hint that a DC Comics streaming service may be in the cards while discussing the recent acquisition of online media giant Machinima.

"He said the studio’s been working on that line of business, hinting at a potential dedicated DC Comics product to capitalize on its "rabid" fan base."

The CEO also revealed that they are currently working to get this content  out to costumers.

"We’re working with them to create a new window. We have to offer consumers more choices earlier."

It certainly sounds as though there is a plan in place over at Warner Bros., and if that plan includes more DC Comics content, and a possible streaming service centered around the multimedia giant, that's just fine with us!

Are you excited for even more DC Comics content from Warner?

Don't Expect A Sequel To Rogue One

While it may be the most anticipated movie of 2016, one that has already started to break records even before arriving on the big screen, a Rogue One sequel is not happening.

In a recent interview with Empire, LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy joked that they won't be making a Rogue Two. Visual effects artist John Knoll said that Rogue One was always meant to be a self-contained film, although it’s a prequel to 1977's A New Hope.

Despite this, the movie is already generating some serious buzz. Analysts predict the Gareth Edwards film to secure somewhere in the neighbourhood of $130-Million on its opening weekend. Additionally, anticipation for the movie is so high that several online retailers saw their sites crash when advanced tickets for the film went up for purchase yesterday. This caused many fans to experience déjà vu thanks to a similar fiasco that occurred last year with The Force Awakens.

So, sequel or not, it's pretty clear that the fans can't wait for this one.

Starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Riz Ahmed. Alan Tudyk and Ben Mendelsohn, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens December 16th.
