The surprise announcement regarding Marvel's Inhumans TV show has left a lot of fans in eager expectation - even if, at the time, we really didn't have a whole lot of additional information.
However, The Hollywood Reporter has done some digging, and they've emerged with some brand new information surrounding the highly anticipated program. First off, the trade reveals that after the first two episodes have their IMAX screening next year, this will be followed by an additional eight episodes. This means that the first season of Marvel's Inhumans will have the same number of episodes as the first season of Agent Carter.
Additionally, they note that the show will not be serving as a spinoff of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., so fans shouldn't expect to see that show's Inhuman characters. However, given that the new show will focus on Black Bolt and his Royal Family, this shouldn't come as that big a surprise.
The New York Times also reports that the show will be co-financed by IMAX, which means it "will include cinema-quality visual effects" with imagery "enhanced due to IMAX technology."
Pretty cool, huh?
