Maya Rudolph, Jamie Chung and Stan Lee are just some of the names attached to the upcoming Big Hero 6 animated series coming to Disney XD next year.
Rudolph will be back as Aunt Cass, while Chung returns as speed genius Go Go and Lee voices Fred's father. Other original voice cast set to reprise their roles are Scott Adsit as huggable robot Baymax, Alan Tudyk as tech guru Alistair Krei, Ryan Potter as tech genius Hiro, Genesis Rodriguez as quirky scientist Honey Lemon and David Shaughnessy as butler Heathcliff.
But, that's not all!
Additionally, Young Justice voice actor Khary Payton has joined the cast as control freak Wasabi (who was voiced by Damon Wayans Jr. in the movie), and Brooks Wheelan of Saturday Night Live will play fanboy Fred (voice by T.J. Miller in the movie).
The series picks up immediately after the events of the movie and centers around the adventures and friendship of 14-year-old tech genius Hiro and his cutting-edge robot pal Baymax. Along with their friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go and Fred, they form the legendary superhero team Big Hero 6 and embark on high-tech adventures protecting their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains.
Throughout the series, Hiro will face daunting academic challenges and social trials as the new prodigy at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.
Big Hero 6 won an Oscar for Best Animated Movie at the 2015 Oscars and would go on to gross $657.8-Million at the worldwide box office.
