Get ready to celebrate, Infinite Earths fans! Warner Bros. Animation has officially announced that the much-loved series Young Justice is returning for a highly anticipated third season.
Further details, including where the episodes will air and a premiere date, will be revealed later. However, production is now beginning on the third season, which promises “new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.”
“The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us,” said Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, in a statement "We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”
Original Young Justice producers Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman will be returning to the series.
Young Justice aired on Cartoon Network for two awesome, action-packed seasons before being untimely cancelled. This left many fans hurt and confused, but the hope for a third season remained strong. The series centers around the teenage heroes of the DC Universe coming of age and finding their place amongst the world's grandest superheroes.
In celebration of this exciting news, Warner Bros. has even launched an official website to keep fans up to date with all the latest info on Young Justice Season 3.
