Not much is really known about the upcoming Tomb Raider movie.
We've have been told, however, that the newest additions to the long-running video game franchise would serve as inspiration for the film, which will feature a young Lara Croft setting out on her first globetrotting adventure.
HeyUGuys recently sat down with producer Graham King, who shared some new information regarding the films plot. Teased as a back to the roots tale, this new Tomb Raider film will focus on Lara's attempts to locate her missing father - Richard James Croft.
"Well this is kind of what we call a 'back to the roots story,'" King said. "This is a young Lara Croft in search to see if her father is dead or alive, so it has a very emotional part to it and i think that’s what Alicia found so interesting about it. I think the storytelling is really good and i think we’ve got the right crew and a great director and I think it’s going to be really fun making a film like this."
Will Lara find her father in the new film, or is Warner Bros. hoping to tell that story spread over a trilogy of Tomb Raider movies? We'll have to wait and see!
