Actress Carrie Fisher is now in stable condition after suffering a massive heart attack on a flight into Los Angeles Friday afternoon.
Known for portraying iconic Star Wars heroine Princess Leia Organa in four Star Wars movies, the 60 year old Fisher remains in intensive care at the UCLA Medical Center.
Fisher's mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, took to Twitter yesterday to update on her daughter's condition, writing: "Carrie is in stable condition. If there is a change, we will share it. For all her fans & friends. I thank you for your prayers & good wishes."
Fisher went into cardiac arrest about 15-minutes before her flight touched down in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon. Passengers worked on the actress, with a medic performing CPR. After touching down, paramedics spent a further 15-minutes administering CPR to Fisher before getting a pulse and getting her off to the hospital.
Outside of Star Wars, Carrie Fisher has also appeared in such films as Fan Boys, The Blues Brothers and When Harry Met Sally. She also appeared in an episode of The Big Bang Theory back in 2014 alongside her fellow Star Wars co-star James Earl Jones.
We continue to wish Carrie a speedy recovery!
