The magical might of Doctor Strange continues to grow ever stronger at the box office.
The film has already earned the title of Marvel Studios’ highest-grossing single-character debut movie to date after passing Iron Man, and now the Sorcerer Supreme has topped Tony Stark yet again! As of this weekend, Doctor Strange has raked in an impressive $634.9-Million globally, allowing it to top the $624-Million earned by Iron Man 2 back in 2010.
Should the movie continue its rise, the next Marvel movie to meet defeat will be Thor: The Dark World, which brought in $645-Million for the Mouse House back in 2013.
Again, these numbers are extremely impressive given the fact that Doctor Strange is not as well known as other Marvel Comics heroes like Captain America and Hulk, so there is no doubt that Disney and Marvel Studios are pleased with the film's performance to date.
