Universal debuted the first official trailer for The Fate Of The Furious on Sunday, and it has hit the gas hard, becoming the most viewed trailer across the globe!
Within the first 24 hours, the trailer raked in a massive 139-Million views, effortlessly zooming past the previous record of 127-Million views set by Disney's live-action version of Beauty And The Beast just a few weeks ago.
Universal premiered the trailer for the eighth movie in the Fast And Furious franchise in a historic Times Square takeover on Sunday night that featured the likes of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Michelle Rodriguez, Nathalie Emmanuel and director F. Gary Gray. The trailer took over 33 digital billboards within the Manhattan landmark, all of which simultaneously played the video with its debut on TV and online respectively.
Even before the trailer arrived, the Facebook livestream brought in 4-Million viewers.
Universal also debuted the trailer during NBC’s Football Night in America pre-show, which turned out to be the most watched sporting event of the season with 26.7-Million viewers.
This past weekend, fans were treated to a short trailer teaser that revealed the film's title.
The Fate of the Furious hits theaters on April 14th.
