Jeremy Irons Discusses His Role In Justice League
For us, there were many things to love about Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice - including Jeremy Irons in the role of Alfred Pennyworth. Irons is set to reprise the part next year in Zack Snyder's Justice League and, while speaking with our friends over at Coming Soon, the actor revealed that his approach to playing the iconic comic book character doesn't change much.
"No, Alfred is a stickler for staying the same. He tries to modulate everybody else. In a very gentle, English way he tries to deal with these people who can do all these extraordinary things in a very calm way, a very grounded way. He does not modulate at all. He sometimes lets Bruce Wayne out a bit on the lead, but he’s still attached."
Hmmm, by the sounds of things, Alfred will be hanging around with some more DC Comics heroes other than Batman next time. And keeping them in line too! But, who better to keep an eye on the Justice League than this guy? Here's hoping the other members of the team take his advice to heart better than Bruce did in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Amy Adams and J.K. Simmons, Justice League arrives in theaters on November 17, 2017.
