The Jurassic World sequel has added Cinematographer Oscar Faura to its ranks!
Previously, he has worked with director J.A. Bayona on The Orphanage, The Impossible, and A Monster Calls. Bayona himself took to Twitter to make the official announcement.
Happy to confirm that Oscar Faura will be the Cinematographer for the Jurassic World Sequel. Amazed to have him with us. He is an artist! pic.twitter.com/8l1SYKJqcX— JA Bayona (@FilmBayona) December 20, 2016
The job of a Cinematographer is to work with a film's director to define the visual style of a project. They are also in charge of camera operations throughout the course of filming. Mr. Faura is the newest Cinematographer to join the Jurassic Park franchise since it launched in 1993. Previously, Dean Cundey, Janusz KamiĆski, Shelly Johnson, and John Schwartzman have brought their own visual style to the series.
Jurassic World 2 begins shooting early next year ahead of its June 2018 release date.
