If you enjoyed Michael Giacchino's score to Jurassic World, you're going to love this news!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the composer is returning to score the upcoming Jurassic World sequel from Universal Pictures and director J.A. Bayona.
While no information regarding the film was given, it was mentioned on the composer's long list of upcoming projects following his work on the recently released Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Giacchino took a break to speak with THR between Rogue One and his next geeky gigs, which include Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, War of the Planet of the Apes, the next Jurassic Park sequel and Pixar’s The Incredibles 2.
Given the fact that Giacchino did such a solid job on the soundtrack for Jurassic World last year, and coupled with the fact that he is friends with new director J.A. Bayona, this really doesn't come as that big a surprise. But, it's nice to hear it officially.
Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith and B.D. Wong, Jurassic World 2 roars into theatres on June 22, 2018.
