New Lemony Snicket Trailer Is Downright Miserable

Netflix advises you to look away in the latest trailer for Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events, the upcoming series headlined by How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris!

Based off the best-selling book series, this new Netflix show follows the often miserable lives of Violet, Klaus, and baby Sunny Baudelaire as they’re passed along from one distant relative to another after their parents die. And if that's not bad enough, the dastardly Count Olaf continues to find them at each and every turn!

If you are interested in a story with a happy ending, that story is streaming elsewhere. This story has no happy ending, no happy beginning, and very few happy things in the middle.

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans -- Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. The eight-episode series is a Netflix original production, executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, and premieres January 13, 2017 only on Netflix. A Netflix Original Series.

Starring Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Joan Cusack, Asif Mandvi, Alfre Woodard and Patrick Warburton, Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events begins streaming its first season on January 13th.
