Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has reached another milestone at the box office.
The first standalone film in the timeless science fiction franchise added an additional $16.7-Million domestically on Thursday and $15-Million internationally for a total global take of $31.7-Million. The Gareth Edwards flick has now grossed $221.9-Million here in North America and $197.9-Million overseas. To date, the movie has brought in a very healthy $419.8-Million globally - in just over a week in circulation.
Next week, the movie opens in Korea, than in Japan on January 6th.
Set before the events of 1977's Star Wars: A New Hope, the latest film follows a group of Rebel Alliance operatives as they attempt to steal the plans to the Empire's Death Star battle station.
Starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Riz Ahmed and Alan Tudyk, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is playing in theaters now.
