Gareth Edwards' Rogue One: A Star Wars Story continues to dominate the worldwide box office.
After a mere five days in release, the first ever standalone Star Wars movie brought in $17.6-Million in North America on Tuesday. This brings the film's domestic total up to $190.2-Million in less than a week! Overseas, the story is equally impressive as the movie would add an additional $16.8-Million to its international gross, bringing it up to $166.8-Million.
The total worldwide gross for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story now sits at $357-Million, and you have to know that both Disney and Lucasfilm have got to be happy with those numbers.
Interestingly, the film is among the top 290 highest grossing movies of all time and, as of yesterday, has eclipsed the $356.8-Million box office take of the Tom Cruise classic Top Gun.
The movie is expected to top the box office throughout the Holiday weekend.
Starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Riz Ahmed and Alan Tudyk, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is playing in theaters now.
