Barry and his super friends sent The Dominators running with their tails between their legs.
Now, it's time to handle that other small problem in Central City - Savitar.
The god of motion, Savitar has been working behind the scenes, imploring his followers to bring about his return to the world once again. Now, Barry must reach out to fellow speedster Jay Garrick in an effort to bring down this new threat.
“The team is facing getting their first real conversation with Savitar and really getting a handle on what they’re up against this season,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly regarding tonight's winter finale episode of The Flash.
Fans of the show will remember that this show is known for going big for its winter finales. Season 1 saw Harrison Wells revealed as the Reverse-Flash, while Season 2 introduced Wally West, the future Kid Flash, into the mix. And it sounds as though tonight's episode will follow that path once again.
“So much of the first half of the season has been about Flashpoint and the ramifications of that,” Kreisberg says. “Events will occur in episode 9 that will change the direction of the show moving forward. They will have a greater idea of what threat Savitar faces, and what they’re truly up against for this season, and how it is going to take all of them to fight it.”
Starring Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Keiynan Lonsdale, John Wesley Shipp, Mark Hamill and Nicholas Gonzalez, The Flash winter finale airs tonight at 8pm.
