The Klingons Are Coming To Star Trek: Discovery

Chris Obi, Shazad Latif, and Mary Chieffo have all joined the cast of the highly anticipated CBS All Access series Star Trek: Discovery. Each will portray a Klingon, members of a fan-favorite alien race that is fundamental to Star Trek lore.

Obi will play T’Kuvma, a Klingon leader seeking to unite the Klingon houses. Latif will play Kol, commanding officer of the Klingons and protégé of T’Kuvma. Chieffo will play L’Rell, the battle deck commander of the Klingon ship.

The trio join a cast that includes the likes of Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, and Michelle Yeoh.

The series is currently set to premiere on CBS in May, with all subsequent episodes streaming exclusively in the U.S. on digital service CBS All Access. Those outside of the country will be able to catch Star Trek: Discovery on additional streaming services, like Netflix, beginning in May.

Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts will serve as showrunners for Star Trek: Discovery, the very first new series set within the Star Trek universe since Enterprise ended in 2005 after four seasons.

For More From Infinite Earths, Be Sure To

  1. This show isn't highly anticipated by anyone. After the atrocities that are the Kelvin timeline movies, Star Trek should just die

    1. Speak for yourself. I don't much care for JJTrek either but willing to give this a chance.

  2. I'm interested but am worried about more star trek timeline trashing which is surely going to come.
