The first trailer for Michael Bay's Transformers: The Last Knight has generated a very impressive 100-Million views online since its release Monday evening. A first look at the fifth installment of the billion dollar franchise arrived during ESPN’s Monday Night Football and quickly became the Melrose lot’s biggest trailer launch to date.
In the first 24 hours, the trailer saw 93.6-Million views, making it the third-most-viewed trailer of 2016. Following the trailer release, Transformers: The Last Knight began trending across multiple forms of social media including Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, YouTube and even Weibo.
Since launching in 2007, Paramount's Transformers franchise, based off the hugely popular Hasbro toy line that began hitting stores back in 1984, has raked in over $3.7-Billion worldwide.
Starring Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Anthony Hopkins, Isabela Moner, Santiago Cabrera and Jerrod Carmichael, Transformers: The Last Knight hits theatres on June 23, 2017.
