Moonlight star Trevante Rhodes has joined the cast of Shane Black's The Predator.
The film will serve as a sequel to the 1987 action-adventure movie that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers. Black, who co-starred in the original, is not only directing, but also co-wrote the film's script alongside Fred Dekker.
Rhodes joins a cast that includes Logan actor Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn of X-Men: Apocalypse. While plot details are being kept under wraps, we know that Rhodes will play the best friend of Holbrook's character; who are said to both be ex-Marines.
Filming on the highly anticipated project begins in Vancouver, Canada this February.
The Predator stalks into theaters on February 9, 2018.
