Vincent D'Onofrio has been one of the very best things about Daredevil. The Jurassic World actor portrayed the iconic comic book villain Kingpin throughout most of the show's first season, and even showed up toward the end of Season 2. However, with Daredevil not returning for a third go-round until 2018, many fans are wondering where Wilson Fisk will be showing up next.
While doing the rounds for the NBC series Emerald City, Vincent D'Onofrio revealed to Collider that he's not quite sure when Kingpin will surface again within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“He will, eventually. Honestly, I wish I knew ‘cause I could plan my year better. I know he will come back, I just don’t know when. I can’t wait to find out. I’m totally into the Marvel stuff, big time. I want to do Marvel, all the time. I love it so much ‘cause they’re so creative over there. They let you bring this whole new thing to an iconic thing that they invented. It’s just so much fun. I love it to death. I want to see Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman. There’s something about those movies. I dig the shit out of them. I’ve been tweeting back and forth with James Gunn, about doing something with him because I love Guardians of the Galaxy so much.”
Despite not knowing when his character will be back, Onofrio certainly sounds excited about the prospect of returning to the sprawling MCU - especially if it means working on a project with Guardians Of The Galaxy visionary James Gunn.
We're going to hazard a guess here though, and say that it's most likely we'll be seeing Wilson Fisk at some point later this year in either The Punisher or The Defenders, both of which arrive on Netflix in 2017.
