John Williams Wins Grammy For The Force Awakens


Legendary film composer John Williams took home a Grammy award this evening.

Although not part of the televised portion of the ceremony, the man behind scores for such classic films as Jurassic Park and Saving Private Ryan collected his 23rd Grammy award thanks to his work on the score for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Williams won his first statuette in 1976 for his work on Steven Spielberg's Jaws.


In the years that followed, Williams won awards for his work on such films as Star Wars: A New Hope, Superman, Raiders Of The Lost Arc, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and Schindler's List.

Congratulations to Mr. Williams on his 23rd Grammy win!
