It may only be February, but thanks to the new Super Bowl ad for Stranger Things Season 2, we're already counting down the days to Halloween. Taking place a year after Will's return, the new season will see a new darkness threatening the town of Hawkins.

“We obviously have this gate to another dimension, which is still very much open in the town of Hawkins,” Ross Duffer told EW last year. “And a lot of questions there in terms of, if the Monster is dead, was it a singular monster? What else could be out there? We really don’t go in there much until they go in to find Will at the end. So we’ve opened up this doorway, and to us it’s exciting to talk about, like, what else is behind there? There’s a lot more mystery there to be solved.”
Stranger Things ended up becoming a huge hit with fans and critics alike when it debuted last year. In fact, the cast recently took home a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Starring Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, Darce Montgomery, Sadie Sink, Matthew Modine, Sean Astin and Paul Reiser, Stranger Things kicks off its second season of nine brand new episodes on October 31, 2017.
Mark your calendars accordingly!
