Chuck actress Yvonne Strahovski is in final negotiations to join Shane Black's The Predator.
Shane Black, who appeared in the original Predator movie back in 1987 alongside the likes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Bill Duke and Jesse Ventura, is directing and also co-wrote the script with Fred Dekker.
The highly anticipated sci-fi flick, which began shooting in Vancouver this past Monday, stars Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane and Jacob Tremblay.
Strahovski will play the mother to Tremblay, a troubled boy who is accidentally drawn into the conflict with the fierce alien creatures by his father — her ex-husband — played by Holbrook.
The actress is also known for roles in Dexter and 24: Live Another Day, while comic book fans will recognize her as the voice of Batwoman in the 2016 DC Animated Original Movie Batman: Bad Blood.
The Predator stalks into theatres on February 9th, 2018.
