Christine Adams Joins DC's Black Lightning

Actress Christine Adams has joined the cast of Black Lightning.

Known for her roles in Tron: Legacy, Terra Nova, and Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., Adams is set to portray Lynn Stewart, the ex-wife of hero Jefferson Pierce. While her character is known for having a mischievous side, she is not one to be trifled with when it comes to family.

Adams joins a cast that includes Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams and China Anne McClain.

The newest addition to the DC TV Universe that includes the likes of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends Of Tomorrow, the show is the brainchild of Greg Berlanti, Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil. Written by Akil and Brock Akil, Black Lightning is based off the DC Comics hero created by Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eden.

Salim Akil will direct the upcoming pilot over at The CW.

He made his choice: He hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter, Jennifer (McCain) hellbent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.
