Saban's Power Rangers is morphin' into a serious winner at the weekend box office.
On Friday, the Dean Israelite reboot took in $15-Million domestically from 3,693 different theatrical locations, and is currently projected to take in over $40-Million despite some fierce competition from Disney's live-action remake of Beauty And The Beast.
If that's not exciting enough, the movie also nabbed an unexpected A rating on CinemaScore and is attracting scores of fans who grew up watching the original television show, which was first introduced to North American audiences back in 1993.
While the movie is not expected to top Disney this weekend, there is no doubt that the PG-13 action flick is exceeding expectations at the box office. And, for fans like us, that's a very good thing!
Starring Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Ludi Lin, Becky G, Bryan Cranston, and Elizabeth Banks, Power Rangers is playing in theatres now.
Will you be checking it out this weekend?
