Skull Island Rules Friday Box Office

The Eight Wonder Of The World was king at the box office once again.

Kong: Skull Island, from Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment, brought in $20.2-Million from Friday night showings and is now on its way to a $54-Million opening weekend from 3,846 different theatrical locations.

Logan dropped to second place, earning an additional $10-Million. It is expected to take in about $36-Million over the course of the weekend.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts directs the monster movie, which serves as the second installment of the slowly expanding MonsterVerse. Legendary jumpstarted this cinematic world with Gareth Edwards' Godzilla back in 2014.

Starring Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly, Toby Kebbell, Corey Hawkins, John Ortiz, and John Goodman, Kong: Skull Island is in theatres now.
