Lena Luthor isn't going anywhere.
Actress Katie McGrath, who portrays the character on the hit CW series Supergirl, has been promoted to a series regular for Season 3. Lena was introduced earlier this season as the baby sister of Lex Luthor, who came to National City to get out from under the shadow of her notorious brother.
Audiences first met Lena in the first episode of Season 2, and she has appeared in a total of seven additional episodes since then. Although she has been roped into a few family schemes thanks to her mother Lillian, it is clear that Lena really wants to separate from her kin and help try to make the world a better place for all.
McGrath has also appeared in the Netflix series Frontier and in Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8pm.
