The Fate Of The Furious enjoyed an impressive debut at the box office yesterday.
The eighth chapter of the multi billion dollar franchise sped its way to $10.4-Million during Thursday night preview screenings here in North America.
Preview showings began at 7pm last night from 3,310 theatrical locations.
The movie expands to 4,311 locations today - the widest opening ever for an April release.
The Fate Of The Furious is expected to gross somewhere around $100-Million during the Easter long weekend, making it the second-highest launch in franchise history.
Overseas, the movie reeled in an additional $19.7-Million from Wednesday previews.
Two years ago, James Wan's Furious 7 bowed to $15.8-Million before finishing its box office run with a massive $1.5-Billion worldwide.
Starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham, and Charlize Thereon, The Fate Of The Furious is playing in theatres now.
