It's Official! Deathstroke Is Returning To Arrow

We're huge Arrow fans here at Infinite Earths, and we feel that there has been no greater adversary for Oliver Queen throughout the show's five years than Slade Wilson. So perfectly has actor Manu Bennett embodied the ultimate assassin of the DC Universe that it's as though Marc Guggenheim, and the powers that be on the hit DC Entertainment drama, ripped this version of Deathstroke straight from the pages of DC Comics.

Fans have not seen Deathstroke on Arrow for a few years now (and the character's cameo in the 2016 DC TV crossover event doesn't really count), but that's all about to change!

Series star Stephen Amell took to Twitter earlier this afternoon to announce Manu Bennett's return to the DC TV Universe - his character set to make his return in the Season 5 finale of Arrow next month after last being seen in an A.R.G.U.S. prison cell on Lian Yu back in Season 3.

Check out Amell's tweet posted below...

Slade Wilson made his debut in Season 1 of Arrow as a castaway on Lian Yu. He was eventually injected with a super-soldier serum known as Mirakuru in a bid to save his life before hunting down Oliver Queen to get vengeance on the billionaire after he allowed the villainous Dr. Ivo to kill the woman he loved over future White Canary, Sara Lance. Slade would make his way to then-Starling City, destroying half the city and killing Oliver's mother before being defeated.

He's one bad dude, but easily the best villain to be introduced into the DC TV Universe!

Fans will meet Deathstroke again in the Season 5 finale of Arrow, the title of which was revealed by executive producer Marc Guggenheim on Twitter earlier today...

What do you think, Infinite Earths fans? Are you excited for Deathstroke's return next month?

"Desperate times call for desperate measures," Amell wrote. Does this mean that Ollie an Slade will be teaming up to take down Star City's newest threat? We'll find out soon enough!

Welcome back to the DC TV Universe, Manu! We've really missed you!
