One of Superman's greatest foes is coming for the Maiden Of Might!
Canadian actor Mark Gibbon, who has appeared in Arrow, Man Of Steel and Smallville, has joined the cast of Supergirl as the iconic DC villain General Zod. The character is often depicted as the fascistic commander of Krypton's military and a man who constantly finds himself at odds with Superman's father, Jor-El. Additionally, the character often has ties to Non, a character portrayed by Chris Vance back in the first season of Supergirl.
Previously, Terrence Stamp portrayed General Zod in Superman II, while Michael Shannon took up the role for the 2013 Zack Snyder film Man Of Steel. Additionally, actor Callum Blue played the character on the hit CW series Smallville.
