Kong is still a monster success at the box office.
Kong: Skull Island has crossed the $500-Million mark at the worldwide box office, making it the third film of 2017 to do so - right behind Disney's Beauty And The Beast and Fox's Logan.
During its first four weeks in circulation, the monster movie has topped $150-Million here in North America, with an additional $358.7-Million brought in from overseas.
The movie is also the highest grosser of all time over in Vietnam, which served as one of the primary filming locations for the film.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts directs the new movie, which is set in 1973 at the end of the Vietnam War.
The film is the second entry in the Warner Bros. MonsterVerse, which also includes Gareth Edwards' Godzilla. The studio is hoping to build a successful franchise around these classic monsters, which will culminate with Godzilla vs. King Kong in 2020.
Starring Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly, Toby Kebbell, Corey Hawkins, John Ortiz, and John Goodman, Kong: Skull Island is in theatres now.
