Schwarzenegger Not Done With Terminator

Back in January, word broke that James Cameron was teaming up with Tim Miller and David Ellison of Skydance for a brand new Terminator movie. Then, a few weeks ago, it was reported that the planned sequel for Terminator: Genisys had been scrapped by Paramount.

This led many to assume that the Terminator franchise was officially dead.

But, this is simply not the case.

Speaking with Fandango, series star Arnold Schwarzenegger set the record straight and assuring fans that he's not done with the franchise just yet.

"Just because Paramount doesn’t want to pick up the Terminator franchise, you have 15 other studios willing to do it – that doesn’t mean the Terminator franchise is finished, right?"

"It just means they are on their way to negotiate with another studio, but I can’t give you the details of that. They’ll announce that. But, yes, the Terminator franchise is never finished. And remember that after 2018, James Cameron is getting it back, and then it will continue on!"

Very encouraging words, indeed!

Skydance CEO David Ellison has also teased that fans should expect an announcement surrounding the Terminator franchise coming later this year.
