Following the explosive season finale of Arrow last week, series star Stephen Amell says that Season 6 will be focusing more on family than legacy. The entire last season of the hit DC Entertainment drama fixated on Oliver and how the choices of his past come back to haunt him.
The season revealed that, in the early days of his crusade as The Hood, Oliver ended up killing the father of Adrian Chase, who emerged as the villainous Prometheus as the year progressed. Chase wanted Oliver to realize the sort of man he really was - a murderer, and not the savior of Star City as he so believed. The character's history became the theme of the previous season, but that will change come the Fall according to Stephen Amell.
During a panel at the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in London this past weekend, the series star teased the theme for the upcoming sixth season of Arrow saying, "The theme of Season 5 was legacy. From what I understand, the theme of Season 6 is family."
The theme definitely makes sense considering the events from last week's season finale. Not only has Oliver's son discovered that his father is the Green Arrow, but he also offered to help Slade Wilson locate his son in exchange for helping him take down Chase.
Starring Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Echo Kellum, Rick Gonzalez, Juliana Harkavy, Willa Holland and Paul Blackthorne, Arrow returns for Season 6 this Fall.
