Injustice 2 Gets Three New DLC Characters

With the release of Injustice 2 a mere two weeks away, a brand new announcement trailer has been released showcasing some of the game's DLC - including three new playable characters.

Two new DC Comics characters join the fray in the form of Starfire and Red Hood, along with Mortal Kombat icon Sub-Zero. This final reveal should come as no surprise considering that NetherRealm produced the last two installments of the long-running gaming series, and had Scorpion available as a playable character in the first Injustice game.

The first three DLC characters for Injustice 2 revealed! Batman’s second protégé, Red Hood, royal exile from Tamaran, Starfire, and the leader of the Lin Kuei, Sub-Zero join the fight.

Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk. Players can play from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favorites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Aquaman, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, and Deadshot. Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City and Atlantis.

Injustice 2 arrives for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16th.
