Raimi, Vaughn, Zemeckis On Shortlist For The Flash

The big screen take on The Flash has narrowed down its search to three directors - Matthew Vaughn, Robert Zemeckis and Sam Raimi. All three directors have met with the studio recently, and all three are said to be very strong contenders for the job.

Rick Famuyiwa was attached to direct the Scarlet Speedster's big screen adventure, but departed the project in October 2016 following creative differences with the studio.

Search for a director has been a closely guarded affair, and sources say that Robert Zemeckis, known for directing Back To The Future, is the studio's top choice. Currently, Zemeckis is focusing on a new project starring Steve Carell set to shot this Fall, however sources say that the studio is willing to wait for him.

Jon Berg and Geoff Johns are producing The Flash.

Joby Harold, who wrote King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, penned the latest draft.

Matthew Vaughn is no stranger to the comic book movie genera, having already directed X-Men: First Class and Kingsman: The Secret Service. Sam Raimi has also dabbled in the field having spent most of the 2000's working on Columbia's Spider-Man trilogy.

Which of these three would you like to see helm The Flash?
