Wonder Woman Passes Batman v Superman Domestically

Wonder Woman has now become the highest-grossing DC Films release here in North America.

The Patty Jenkins blockbuster earned an additional $2.68-Million at the domestic box office yesterday, bringing its total here up to $330.5-Million. That pushes the film just above the $330.3-Million earned by Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice back in 2016.

It has been just under a month since Wonder Woman first arrived in theaters and, in that time, it has passed the domestic totals of each and every previous DC Films entry. If that's not impressive enough, the film currently sits at $677-Million worldwide and is expected to cross the $700-Million mark at some point this weekend.

Not bad for less than a month in theaters.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Elena Anaya and Lucy Davis, Wonder Woman is in theatres now.
