Enlisted actor Keith David has joined the cast of Marvel's New Warriors.
David will take on the role of Ernest Vigman, a caustic municipal employee who butts up against the hopeful energy of the new warriors.
The show, set to air on Freeform next year, centers around six young people learning to cope with their abilities in a world where bad guys can be as terrifying as bad dates. New Warriors was picked up back in April and hails from ABC Signature, Marvel head of TV Jeph Loeb and Jim Cory will executive produce alongside Kevin Biegel.
Earlier this month, Marvel unveiled the cast of the new show, which includes the likes of Milana Vayntrub, Derek Theler, Jeremy Tardy, Calum Worthy, Matthew Moy and Kate Comer.
Marvel's New Warriors kicks off its 10-episode run in 2018 and officially becomes the second Marvel series to find a home on Freeform next to Cloak And Dagger.
David is no stranger to the world of comic book entertainment. Last year, he leant his voice to the role of Solovar on The Flash and he's also voiced characters on Justice League and the animated film Justice League: The New Frontier.
