The Bumblebee Movie Rounds Out Its Cast

The upcoming Bumblebee movie has quickly begun riding out its cast, adding a handful of young actors including Jason Drucker, Abby Quinn, Rachel Crow, Ricardo Hoyos and Gracie Dzienny - each of which is currently in various stages of negotiations.

Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and Hailee Steinfeld will also star in the spinoff, which is being directed by Kubo and the Two Strings helmer Travis Knight. Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are producing along with Hasbro’s Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis.

Plot details are unknown, but we do know that the film will be set in the 1980's and follow Steinfeld's character and a group of her friends as they team up to help Bumblebee.

The flick will serve as the first spinoff in what the studio hopes will be a Transformers Cinematic Universe that will include prequels and offshoots from a line of movies that have generated more than $3.7-Billion worldwide. The latest entry in the series, Transformers: The Last Knight, has earned $495-Million since being released on June 23rd.

Bumblebee is slated for release on June 8th, 2018.
