Star Wars veteran Warwick Davis has joined the cast of Ron Howard's Han Solo film.
The director broke the news yesterday over Twitter after a fan asked when they could expect to see a sequel to his 1988 classic Willow - which also starred Davis.
Glad you are asking for one! I directed @WarwickADavis for the 1st time in 30 years today. It made me happy https://t.co/yW8E19MPCn— Ron Howard (@RealRonHoward) July 26, 2017
Davis would also take to Twitter to confirm the news shortly afterwards.
Reminded me what a wonderful experience #Willow was, made so by your expert direction & friendship. After 30yrs, you've still got the magic! https://t.co/KzQd2bFtyH— Warwick Davis (@WarwickADavis) July 26, 2017
The actor is no stranger to the Star Wars Universe. Davis is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Wicket the Ewok in 1983's Return Of The Jedi. Since then, he has also appeared in the likes of The Phantom Menace, The Force Awakens and Rogue One respectively.
Starring Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the still untitled Han Solo movie hits theaters on May 25th, 2018.
Ron Howard was named the director of the file back in June after Disney and Lucasfilm cut ties with previous helmers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
