Wonder Woman Pushes DCEU Past $3-Billion Globally

Wonder Woman continues to defy expectations at the box office, and as a result, the DC Extended Universe has now made over $3-Billion in ticket sales over the course of four films.

Patty Jenkins superhero flick recently crossed the $350-Million mark here in North America, which officially pushed the DC Extended Universe past the $3-Billion mark worldwide. This feat was accomplished in a mere 35 days, and is exactly what the rapidly expanding film universe needed following mixed reactions to previous installments such as Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad. The continuing success of Wonder Woman is sure to build plenty of hype for the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, which opens in theaters on November 17th.

Overseas, Wonder Woman has raked in an additional $363-Million, bringing the movie's worldwide total up to a very impressive $713-Million.

Not bad considering the movie was only tracking for a $65-Million opening weekend!

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Elena Anaya, Eugene Brave Rock and Lucy Davis, Wonder Woman is in theatres now.
