There's a change in the works for TV's #1 comedy.
Executive producer Steve Holland has been promoted to serve as showrunner on The Big Bang Theory beginning with Season 11. Holland will take over the role previously held by Steve Molaro, who is segueing over to the Young Sheldon spinoff. Molaro and creator Chuck Lorre will continue to oversee The Big Bang Theory, while Holland running the show's writers room starting this season. He will also work closely with Lorre and Molaro on the series.
Holland has been with the flagship comedy since Season 3 and was promoted to executive producer in Season 10. He is the third showrunner on the show, following Molaro and Bill Prady.
The Big Bang Theory was renewed for two more seasons back in March.
Starring Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Rauch and Kevin Sussman, The Big Bang Theory returns Monday, September 25th.
