While it looks extremely unlikely that Judge Dredd will be returning to the big screen anytime soon, fans were excited to learn back in May that the world's grumpiest law keeper will be taking aim at the small screen with a new series entitled Judge Dredd: Mega City One.
While it is currently unclear who will be taking up the lead role in the new show, Dredd star Karl Urban recently revealed that he's actually in talks with IM Global and video game studio Rebellion to return to the role following his debut in the 2012 movie.
"I am in discussions with them about that," Urban revealed this past weekend at the Star Trek: Las Vegas convention. "I told them that if they write the material and give Dredd something to do and give him a function, I will be there. I would love to."
Keep in mind that these are just talks right now, with Urban only interested if he feels the new show will do the character justice. Even still, this is very exciting, and we're hoping and praying that this will work out, and that Urban will dawn the helmet once again.
