The Legion Of Doom proved to be a big success for DC's Legends Of Tomorrow last season, and in Season 3 we will once again see a group of villains uniting under a mysterious new threat.
"At the head of whatever you want to call our evil organization, it's different. Last year it was three characters from the three different shows that form this alliance. This is a non-human entity," executive producer Phil Klemmer told IGN at the 2017 TCA summer press tour. "This is a much more supernatural, spooky vibe this season. We're dealing more with magic. It's less real-world bad guys."
Klemmer wouldn't reveal the character's identity, but promised we'd hear his name in the season premiere, which will "be more in the world of the occult and monsters" then previous years.
Following behind this new threat will be some familiar faces including new versions of Damian Darhk and Gorilla Grodd that fans have previously not met in the DC TV Universe.
In Season 3 our heroes will be dealing with anachronisms, where figures from throughout history appear in time periods not their own. And this is something that the big bad of Season 3 is trying to exploit in an effort to further his evil purpose.
Given the theme of next season, Klemmer wrapped things up by revealing that they're still actively campaigning for Matt Ryan's Constantine to appear on Legends of Tomorrow as well.
The show returns on Tuesday, October 10th at 9pm.
